Major fire in bitumen plant in Pinneberg.
Pinneberg (dpa / LNO) - In a bitumen processing plant in Pinneberg erupted early on Tuesday morning a large fire. Part of the production area had caught fire, the roof was on fire, said a spokesman for the district Pinneberg Fire Brigade to 2.30 clock. The application will still likely take hours. More than 100 firefighters were deployed. People were not injured, fallen earth chips, according to initial findings, cause of the fire and height of the damage was initially unclear. Bitumen is produced from petroleum and used frequently as a roofing or asphalt.
